2014 Webelos Resident Camp

The Webelos Summer Resident Camp Program includes all activities for Webelos participants from the time of their arrival until the time of their departure. This Camp is designed for fun, friendship, and learning.  There may be improvised changes made during camp that will be dependent on the Scouts’ desires and needs, but these changes will not hinder the progress towards advancement. Our intention and hope is to help Webelos advance in rank.

Parents should be aware that we do not provide campsite leadership for Webelos. Units must make arrangements for adequate supervision in order for Scouts to attend Webelos Resident Camp.  We will provide a daily five-period program schedule.

Webelos I’s will work on activity badges that will help them to achieve the rank of Webelos.

Webelos II’s will work on the requirements for the Arrow of Light badge as well as being prepared for what is expected of them when they cross over into a Boy Scout Troop.

In addition, the Webelos will work on some of the many Academic and Sports belt loops and pins that are available to them.

The Webelos program at Camp Avondale is planned with two goals in mind:

1)    To provide advancement opportunities

2)    To ensure that your Webelos has a terrific adventure with memories they will remember for a lifetime
